On the occasion of the 62th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight the Embassy of Hungary held a reception and film screening in Dublin. During the event the guests had the opportunity to taste Hungary’s birthday cake of 2018, the honey-walnut fantasy selected during a nationwide contest was the highlight of the event. Bishop László Kiss-Rigó, bishop of Szeged-Csanád, Hungary celebrated the Hungarian Mass in the chapel of St. Mary’s Pro Cathedral honouring the 1956 Revolution Memorial Day with the participation of Diarmuid Martin, Archbishop  of Dublin and Archpishop Okolo Jude Thaddeus, Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland.
