'Bluebeard and his new wife Judith are drawn into the darkness. Once they enter his castle and the gates are closed, there is no turning back. They must both continue further, but the landscape he’s made is made of blood…'

Irish National Opera, will present their thrilling new production of Béla Bartók's opera, Bluebeard's Castle, at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin from the 12th-14th October, in association with the Dublin Theatre Festival and in partnership with the RTE Concert Orchestra. The production is directed by Enda Walsh, whose penetrating portrayal of human desire, obsession and suffering promises to shed unique light on Bartók’s chilling gothic masterpiece.  Sung in Hungarian with English surtitles, this is a rare opportunity to hear one of Ireland's finest mezzo-sopranos, Paula Murrihy, on the Irish opera stage. One not to be missed.Tickets: http://www.irishnationalopera.ie/whats-on/current-upcoming-productions/bluebeards-castle
