Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967) was an outstanding Hungarian composer, music educator, researcher and collector of Central European folk music, also internationally known as the creator of the Kodály Method. Kodály’s oeuvre contributed to the mutual enrichment of cultures and supported the promotion of international understanding all over the world. In recognition of his work and the 50 years anniversary of his death, UNESCO and the Hungarian government have designated 2017 as a special Zoltán Kodály anniversary year.

We were delighted to have the multi- award-winning chamber choir New Dublin Voices performing the famous Hungarian composer’s choral works at Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin.
