Due to the easy access - a short 2.5 hour long flight - as well as to the affordable prices for good quality services and friendly locals, the tourism figures have been developing in the last few years. There were more than 32 thousand visitors from Ireland to Hungary in 2016, which is a 13% increase compared to the previous year. These visitors have generated 86 thousand guest nights, showing a 15% increase. The positive trend seems to continue in 2017 too.
