The launch of the 4th Loughrea Medieval Festival took place, Friday 25th August with the participation of Ambassador István Pálffy and Ciaran Cannon TD, Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, with special responsibility for Diaspora and International Development. During the event Monsignor Cathal Geraghty spoke about the Galway connection with the Hungarian city of Győr and Zsuzsanna Bogdánné Kálló sang a repertoire of Medieval Hungarian songs. The event was supported by the Embassy of Hungary.
